Lavenham is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in Suffolk, England. It is noted for its 15th Century church, half-timbered medieval cottages and circular walk. In the medieval period it was among the 20 wealthiest settlements in England. Brose around the many shops or stop at Sweetmeats – it has a traditional tea room in one of the many lovely weavers cottages in Lavenham.
They server freshly prepared lunches and snacks and tea throughout the day. They also do an excellent line in homemade farm house ice creams, fudge and Belgian chocolates and a huge selection of Old English Sweets for children of all ages. Visit the Guildhall which is a Grade 1 listed 16th Century timber framed building.
